You do not need to arrange a separate imaging appointment before coming to the ER. Walk in without an appointment or outside referral. Your emergency physician evaluates your symptoms and orders ultrasound, another test or treatment according to what your examination calls for.
Ultrasound helps your physician examine soft tissue and blood flow without radiation. Our on-site capabilities include abdominal, pelvic and vascular imaging. Ultrasound may be used to evaluate gallbladder concerns, pregnancy-related emergencies or a possible blood clot in a leg; the test depends on your symptoms and clinical assessment.
Our radiologic technologists capture images on site. Board-certified radiologists read them, and your treating emergency physician reviews the images and explains the findings with you. CT, digital X-ray and a full laboratory are also here when your care requires additional testing.
The visit is about more than obtaining a scan. Your physician brings the examination and test findings together, starts the treatment your condition requires and explains follow-up care. When you need surgery, admission or care beyond this facility, our team stabilizes you and coordinates hospital transfer.
